Visualization Lead

Primarily on-site in the Columbia, MD area with some remote.

  • Applies both strategy and craftsmanship to their design work, helping to ensure the analytic product experience is intentional and cohesive.

  • Sets standards, coaches, and mentors others, as well as leads data visualization requirements and goal conversations, creates user interface wireframes, and builds the user interface for analytic applications.

  • Serves as the resident data visualization expert to evolve the look and feel of the product, regardless of tool, to both delight customers and achieve business objectives.

  • Work collaboratively with analytic product leads and analysts throughout the planning and development lifecycle.

  • Work with Data and Analytic leads, as well as developers, to ensure data insights are accessible in a compliant, timely, and efficient manner to provide a stellar user experience.


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, studio art, graphic or visual design, visual communications or communication field is required with a master’s degree in any field.

  • Minimum ten years’ experience in data analysis, architecture, modeling, or visualization.

  • Minimum five years’ experience in developing dashboards using complex relational and multi-dimensional data sources. Three of the five years must include experience as a visual designer, interaction designer, user interface designer or similar.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in leadership and management.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in cloud environments.
